There is no definitive answer to that question.  
What do you want to learn?
Do you want to participate in sports or other activities?
How much money can you spend on your education?
Where do you want to live during those college years (Pick a state, pick an area of the state)
What kind of students do you want to surround yourself with on campus? (Liberals, conservatives, activists, passivists, particular faith-oriented, party school, etc.)

You have a lot of choice to make.  I picked my college in a very stupid way. I wanted to stay in my state (to avoid out of state tuition), and the one I chose was the furthest from my home. 

 

For me?  Indiana University:  basketball, good education, gorgeous campus, beautiful coeds, and great dormitories.   That's all I wanted and that was the best for me!
