Actually a roaming eye is not hereditary but rather a personality thing...maybe. But we are discussing male behaviours and with this I am stymied as well...so..it could be a mid-life crisis thing or just that he wants to have his cake and eat it too...some guys will not grow up! Dang it!

You ask the question in absolutes when this does not apply to all men. 

The one's I know stop once they find what they were looking for in the first place.  Sometimes it just takes them a while to figure out what that thing they are looking for actually is.

Not all men are looking for something better.  Many of them are quite satisfied and thankful for the partners with whom they share their lives.  For a man to be looking for love in any other place is an indication that he isn't the feeling the love where he is.  I think it would be better if he packed up and moved on before "moving on", but a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.....until you catch at least one of them.

Hm...I wonder if it could have anything to do with your looking at all men as being the same and none of them being trustable. If I was with someone who thought of all men being like you characterize them...trust me Tilly, it wouldn't be too long before I told you to hit the road...or I hit the road!

If you really can't find a trustable man, maybe you should consider not trolling the same fishing hole, and just maybe you'll end up with a different kind of fish. Metaphorically speaking of course.

If your refering to finding a better person/partner, there's obviously something wrong with the relationship. Men have a competetive nature about them that is not as prevelent in woman (my opinion) and need to have the biggest, the fastest, the most outrageous, what ever. I very often see the "Why can't men" thing posted here. I find it insulting to put me in the same catagory of a sleaze bag who can't be happy with a partner they've chosen, and find find it necessary to go trolling.
