In my experience you get something out of whatever you put in.
"What was promised by the producers to be a 'factual documentary' is, in fact, a distorted and exploitative version of Hutterite life that paints all 50,000 Hutterites in North America in a negative and inaccurate way. Scenes and dialogue were contrived resulting in a 'make believe' depiction of how we live and the spiritual beliefs we cherish," Bishops John Stahl, Peter Entz and John Waldner said in a statement Thursday.
I take it they didn't like what they saw?

My answer regards people in general: When people take something or someone for granted, they do not value its existence; they expect it to be there and be useful and require no attention or upkeep. To lose that convenience (could be a person as well as a thing), the INconvenience of NOT having that thing/person at one's beck and call sends out a sharp reminder that those people and things should be treated with great care and kept in good condition (as in maintaining a friendship). When one accumulates things and people again, hopefully those treasures will be valued and appreciated.
Sorry this doesn't go along with your Hutterites.
