    I want to make sure I have chosen the corect version of the bible sowould like to read some of the text

    If this is for a course it would be best to ask the teacher.  If it is for your own personal use then the choice is up to you.

    Read away and ask people questions. They know more about the bible than most are willing to admit. Ask for opinions

    Get one that goes back to the original language for it's translation, NIV is a good one.
