Please comment back to let us know you read this. We are very concerned for the puppy.

No!! DO NOT medicate a puppy on your own! Call a vet. He could have kennel cough or parvo, both can kill him. Dogs do not typically get colds.

Please take your puppy to the Vet.  ASAP.  Listen to Colleen please... it is probably kennel cough.

Usually Kennel cough does not cause a fever. It might be an upper respiratory infection and he has to  see a Vet. asp.

I'd like to know if she truly knows how to check for a fever. Hopefully she's not just feeling his forehead.

She needs to check his nose. It is usually warm, if there is a fever.I would be very worried, with a puppy this young.

warm and dry. A wet nose is not typical for fever.

Absolutely correct. My dog chester had fever one time and his nose was warm and dry. He had a UTI.
