    You're giving lessons?

Skipping the obvious "sex" type answers, what kind of lessons could you give (and maybe even get paid for)?  What do you do better than average??
Me? Bowling. I'm pretty sure I could help the most helpless improve his/her game.

Cooking as in the rules....getting the too much salt out of soup, boiling the perfect egg, making a box cake moister and more flavorful, the extra tricks to make a meal special.............on and on...........

    Bob/PKB

THAT is something everyone should know. I've wanted to offer a community course in "Life Skills 101" which included basic cooking, balancing checkbooks, ironing, laundry, etc. etc. Want to co-teach?
    lambshank

great skills Julie, I love to cook, but I'm not all that good

That is the joy of this site!!!

I used to teach life skills to people with disabilities, I now work exclusively with behavioral issues, for dual diagnosis, I'm a fairly good negotiator and can for see potentially troublesome behavior and violence a mile away, as for teaching anyone anything, I regularly induct new staff, also am a qualified OH&S inspector

    Ann

    Bob/PKB

Yes, impressive! I would love those skills.
    lambshank

I could give lessons on how to lose weight, but unfortunately i couldn't teach them how to keep it off.

Percussion ..In fact I did mentor a few drummers a few years back, it was cool, lots of fun to see a couple of these kids to develop into fine young musicians.

    itsmee

I played my thighs one time while my teacher played the Bongo. I got bruises you wouldn’t believe. I LOVE percussion.
    Bob/PKB

I have marked this response as "Best Answer", daren1, but it isn't moving! ????

I could possibly teach in maintenance of bicycles as i road raced for a number of years, i had to maintain my own bike. ( Hav'nt Bowled for a while, but i really enjoy ten pin, i'm interested.)

    Bob/PKB

I just give honest answers to anyone who needs advice .My "motto is to be kind and help someone who have lost their way .Love kids the questions they asked are funny sometimes straight to the point.Singing is a gift ,don't know if I can teach it only say  your to high or low .Find your key .because we all do that .My MUM taught me .

I could specialise in retail therapy lessons!!!:-)...Costly and long hours, not for the faint hearted...and many men may wish to opt out...but it`s definitely a FEEL GOOD  COURSE!!! :-))

    Bob/PKB

retail therapy....sounds like code for shopping. I'm in!

I have taught technical electronics but I like to teach children appliance repair, toy repair, how-tos and the like. Computer skills like working with Gimp or library searches etc are ok but knowing how to fix things like a clogged vacuum cleaner, unplug a toilet, repair an electrical wall plug, wash dishes, basic cooking skills, how to fix a bike or train your dog are all important skills that an increasing number of parents and children know nothing about. If the only way to wash a dish is known to be put it in the dishwasher, that will not get it don if the appliance is broke or the electricity is off. Our opulence is setting a lot of people up for a kick off the planet day. Dependency on all our gadgets may never have consequences…Can we really trust our system ?... that is made to fail and certainly will…because it is made to fail and certainly will.

    Ok….I’ll teach kissing.

    lindilou

    ...pucker up professor!! ;D

I am not now. I used to teach part time for pay and i could give lessons if I need to. The funniest were the driving lessons for my wife and my two daughtesr on "standard stick" cars...

I have a go at anything am a big useless bear my wife ses but I work hard or did until my sons sorta push me in here

    lindilou

You should freak the boys out by hiring yourself out for odd jobs and stuff...watch the look on their faces as you take command again! I sense you feel a bit "pushed" into the "yard" and might feel more in control if you did something like that? If you have health issues then they may just be looking out for you William and that's only natural! Welcome in any case! Peace.
    williamtheman

Yes your right about heath am 57 been working since a boy, with my dad and my boys work for me now lots of pians now but ok, if they get stuck I go help, but I real don,t mind them taking over now one day they will have to by them selves

    valR

    itsmee

You could write an e-mail to Sulamith Wulfing’s ancestors. Her art saw me through a very difficult time. She’s been gone about 25 years

I LIKE TEN PIN BOWLING BOB,

    hector5559

    Whats {D}MEAN Bob,??

I can run any piece of equipment found in any machine shop. I could teach the machining trade, but it no longer exists in this country. I think I have the only fully equipped machine shop within forty miles, and I do it strictly as a hobby.

    hector5559

    Do you have a shaper,???
    ed shank

Explain your definition of a shaper, what are you trying to shape?
    hector5559

It is a machine that cuts metal, with one or more harden tool bits, and follows a former,to shapes the metal top ,to the profile you want,

I started an Attention Deficit in Hanford. Nobody in that town even knew what it was (about 4, actually) In San Luis Obispo there’s an ADD group on every corner.

Hanford is about 30 years  behind times. I prefer it to Fresno though.

    itsmee

I could give lessons on how to put 12 preschoolers to nap all at the same time.
Also arts and crafts for little kids.
Also outdoor activities for little kids. (Pick off a thorn from a rose bush. Lick the wide end and stick it on your nose. Tell the kids you’re a rhinocerous. Cheap fun, huh?!
I could give lessons on how to cure the hiccups too.

    lindilou

Talent exudes from your very pores darling!! What a hoot!! ;D
    Bob/PKB

I like Hanford, too, itsmee. The water isn't the best (sulfur like you wouldn't believe), but it has everything without losing its charm and "small town" feel. :D
The bowling alley is really nice, too.
    itsmee

We had a huge bathtub put in so I could relax my back muscles. It was beautiful and had all sorts of jets. I used this wonder exactly one time. Yes, it stunk. I do think the tub helped us to sell the house quickly.
