My mom bouoght me the 45 of the Chipmunks singing their Christmas song. I still like to sing that song to this day.
My 2nd album ever, was one of the Beach Boys albums- - - -about in the summer of '63 or 63.

Conniff Meets Butterfield (1959) was one of my first (Ray Conniff). Others were by Brenda Lee, Connie Francis, Pat Boone, Ricky Nelson, etc.

Yep...my era too...I had all of those including Ray Conniff Singers (many do not remember them)....aahhhh...memories. :)
The first album i bought myself with my first pay packet cost 15 shillings was Summer Days and Summer Nights by the Beach Boys, which i still have along with the rest of the Albums. --- had a lot of Beatles 45's before that but my mother bought them all for me, she loved Ringo.
