Happy Mon... just happy. You say someting that make them happy Mon.

I use it to show that I am not trying to be offensive at times.

I put, lol, after some comments to show that the comment was made in a light hearted way.....

I use it to insure that people see my sarcasm as just that, sarcasm............

It means laugh out loud.

As you are finding out, you should not thumbs down peoples answers unless they are hateful, racist or discriminatory.

Laughing Out Loud is my way of letting someone know that I appreciate the humor in what they have written.  Occasionally I do Laugh Out Loud at something!

Because...

I use it sometimes on here, I think that lets people know you are laughing or taking something light hearted instead of too serious.

i think it`s just caught on as TEXT abbreviation ..and interenet!? :-¬....Just a BUZZ phrase..and one to show that you are finding something funny..Quicker than HAHAHAHAHAHA!...:-0

We LOL because life is worth of laughing and I think that in akaQA our LOLs come from the bottom of our  heart.  :D  (BTW : D means LOL in smileys.)
