Don't go to their house. Don't tell them directions to your house ,or your home address. If you want to meet them, pick a public place , such as a resturant. AFter you've known them for a long time, and know someone who will vouch for them, maybe you can have them come over, after you've met them first in a public place.

Tell them you are from the future and have been sent back in time to save them from a cyborg that will be coming along shortly to eliminate them. Tell them to also not pay any attention to the fact that this sounds like the plot to a movie with the former governor of California starring in it.
