What are you trying to measure as a stick? I gave you the answer for butter in your other question. 1/4 lb for butter.

Hi Colleen - yes it was for butter, sorry i didnt state that, but youve answered it so i can pass it on to my daughter - so many cookbooks do not state the amount. Thanks, Bev
