      There are two different ways. One is there is usually a key to mute and un-mute your computer near the keyboard. But that's for a laptop. The second one is on the bottom right of your screen, there is a small button that has a picture of a horn and sound waves. Click on it and you can mute, un-mute, and change the sound of your computer.
