I was on a "public" computer and without logging in I could look at some member's profiles...and all of their Q and A's thru google (they have 1800+ choices for akaQA). i have written admin. asking why this is possible without logging in and am awaiting a response.

akaQA is an open forum. All questions and answers are public and view able without being logged in. The reason for registration is to provide the admin with an avenue to each posting member. The fact that we are public is the reason so little information is visible on the profile pages. The questions and answers here are on the internet, mostly Google. You can Google a question and find akaQA that way. This keeps traffic coming here. I've tried to let you all know akaQA is a help site, not a discussion forum. Discussion forums are typically closed to anyone without being a registered member. This help forum is not set up like a discussion forum. It is open so make it accessible for people needing quick answers to questions. This is why no one should ever post personal information here. We are view able all over the world. Even when you log out of akaQA, you can still read it.

Yes I noticed this and so is why so little info given....however alot could be approximated from reading answers...I may change my handle to Mary Poppins!!!
