6x - 2y = 4
Find x and y intercepts for equation
x-intercept is when: y = 0 > 6x - 2(0) = 4 > 6x = 4 > 6x/6 = 4/6 > x = 2/3 > (2/3, 0)
y-intercept is when: x = 0 > 6(0) - 2y = 4 > -2y = 4 > -2y/-2 = 4/-2 > y = -2 > (0, -2)
Graph: (2/3, 0) (0, -2)

Find the slope and y-intercept.
6x - 2y = 4
6x - 6x - 2y = -6x + 4
-2y = -6x + 4 > multiply each side by (-1). Note: Y must be positive.
2y = 6x - 4
2y/2 = 6x/2 - 4/2
y = 3x - 2 > slope: m = 3 y-intercept: b = -2
As you can see, the two graphs are the same.
