      Oh, I can't do this.  I swim blind as a batty batty bat.


      My husband was a competative swimmer and he suggests that you open your eyes in small doses so that you become used to the sting... baby steps.  Before you know it .... the stinging is a non-issue.

        You just open them.  Chlorine and salt will sting so I suggest getting a soothing eye drops to use after your swim.  When I was little eye goggles weren't used...so we all got used to opening our eyes underwater!  Fishy's husband has a good suggestion.  See the answer fishlet gave.
