    how do you prevent belt slipping on a troy built horse tiller

    First  inspect the belt  too hard and shiny wont work time to replace . Look at all adjustments brackets and so forth check for ware . Pick up some belt dressing and apply to belt.  Find a pry bar and set the belt tension and tighten  all bolts . Might want to get some lock washers and loc tite to get every thing held down . Beware of too much tension as it will cause shaft ware and unecessary bearing load .    Good luck
