These are complex machines and setting the timing is best left to the pros . Lets say you do this and get it wrong ,what will happen ? Possibilities are : Valve and piston damage ,total engine failure ,seizure . All a great deal more expensive than a shop trip for timing adjustment. You risk a lot to save a little . Why would you do this ?
