I found a tiny black hopping beetle on my recliner. Is it a carpet beetle or a plant beetle? Does it bother my cats? Or will it bother me? How do I get rid of them?

It you only found one, it's prob not going to bother you or your cats. If you find more than one, spray the carpet and furniture with flea spray that's got pymithrin in it. (sp) ? Then, vacumn really well. There's also a type of flea spray that's harmless to people and animals . It's got mint in it.

Curious, if you think you have real problem then use a flea bomb, you must remove all living things from your house first ( plants, fish. frogs etc., as this stuff will all pests , even humans, you must vot enter again foe at least 8 hours then ventilate well, it will do the trick.
