You will need a jacket; you will not be able to swim in the ocean. Sailing there from Los Angeles will be brutally chilly. Remember the sea lane between San Diego or Los Angeles is ALSO the sea lane for HUGE oil tankers. (think: Exxon Valdiz) BUT this winter, is different. Warmest winter in recorded history (OK, 2nd warmest) Visit the local boy's boarding school there or stay inside the town limits. Although the map may make it seem small, you still clould get waaay lost.
