Have you looked in your yard lately?

The snow has melted and the sky is blue... I inspected my yard and there is a Hazel Nut Tree growing proudly where it wasn't there before!

I haven't the heart to pull it out... and then I began to really pay attention.

Oh my goodness!  ... and how did this get here?

    What is in your yard?

My yard is like a spring yard right now. After the last snow of about 3 inches, the temp went into the 60's and melted the snow and then it rained  so now, there is wet and mud. This is no fun with two dogs as I have to wipe 8 feet every time they come in.

That's exciting, Fish Girl/Fry! I love when a little plant just shows up out of nowhere. When we were clearing out the flower beds today, I told my son to be careful NOT to pull up the little ice plant that volunteered itself last summer.  Little miracles!

In Fresno, we are going to get water meters for conservation. I’m not going to plant all the flowers I usually plant this spring. Are you? I wonder what people are going to do.
I’m getting my first spring flowers today - Pansies. I’ll plant two BIG pots and that will be that.

Our condo is all on one meter. We get nasty letters if we use too much. Our beds are on timers. I'll plant, but not much. Sad, don't you think. Pots will be lovely, its mee!

My weeds are at chain saw level, I sprayed the little (big) buggers this morning so hopefully they will go to "weed heaven"

    Do plants have a heaven?

In my house everything has a heaven plates go to plate heaven, cups to well you get the idea.

Why should us hoomans be the only ones to have a preconcived idea of a afterlife.

    Plate God etc.

Waste of time spraying with this rain hanging around. You will probably need to spray them again.

Our weeds are almost at chainsaw height too. It just keeps on raining, I'd like to poison them and send each one to plant heaven.

You are both right Tommy and Eggy I knew that the rain was on the way back but I had about three hours so may get some.
The southern side of the house is like a jungle.
I am sure there are Triffids out there.
When I was spraying a vine wrapped around my ankle and pulled me toward a big hole but I squirted with poison and it let go .Whew.

It stormed yesterday morning. we got 4 inches in about 2 hours. My yard is mud but, the lemon tree loved it..........

I've clean my driveway the day before we had rain, and now it like a skating ring , slippery everywhere you walk. should of just left the snow on it . Well that part of my life!

After all the rain I have Golden Cane palm Trees pushing up new shoots everywhere,The Singapore Daisies have gone feral,& the Draceannas are about 15 feet high. The Sheena's Gold hedge along my front fence line is about 8 feet high.I need to start pruning real soon!

Our ribinias have gone berserk, I did manage to cut some back for a short time today...then guess what it began to rain.

We had some snow and ice on the ground and it is raining! Slush all over, We wont see any  growth until at least april.

We have daffodills about 6inches high shrubs starting to turn greenish, all a bit early as it's been so mild. But it's due to turn cold this weekend so God knows what will happen to them.

    No yard.
