FF.I had no idea that there are captive bred sqirrels. In all my years I have been to many Petstores and never saw a sqirrel in captivity. To hold a wild squirrel in captivity in the US is against the law also.
Are you talking about squirrels?
They live approximately 10 years in captivity.

Apparently in USA squirrels are captive bred and according to the keep and care information on the site I found above, they make nice pets... Who knew?
I can honestly say that I have been to many tradeshows withing the pet inudustry and never seen a squirrel in a cage.
Thank goodness.
