    CHEESE

I'm sitting here with a delicious piece of garlic French bread with bleu cheese melted and just a bit toasty on top.  YUM.  It got me wondering what your favorite cheese or cheese dish might be?

    I never met a cheese I didn't like...............lol

    valR

    This is my problem too.

    Brie with herbs.

    Bob/PKB

Yummy! Smooth, creamy texture. :D It comes in the white casing, right?

    Cake

    Bob/PKB

Have you a Cheesecake Factory restaurant nearby? They have about 4 dozen different kinds of cheesecakes for dessert. You can see them in a glass, refrigerated display case when you enter. OMG OMG OMG they are beautiful.

    YOU AND ME, TOASTED!

    Bob/PKB

    Awesome!
    valR

    melted?
    Tommyh

Cheese & fleas? There's poetry in that somewhere.
    Bob/PKB

Cheese and fleas, if you please.
Served with bread and honey from bees.
Pour a cup of hot brewed tea.
And there will be plenty for ROMOS and me.
    ROMOS

TEA? TEA??? I,m Scottish for goodness sake,in these situations it,s gotta be champagne, whisky,or even just a beer....KOTF.

    ALSATIAN MUENSTER...

    Bob/PKB

That is one I've not tried. Do you enjoy it with fruit or crackers, in a sandwich, as an ingredient in a casserole????? What color is it? Is it mild or sharp? (What's with all the questions? I don't know)

strawberry cheese cake.......just had some today

    Bob/PKB

Definitely, a classic...one of the best!

I saw cheese and I thought "WINE"............

    Tommyh

I saw cheese & thought "stomach cramps" LOL
    jhharlan

My housemate is the same way but try telling him when there is cheese in the house....
    Bob/PKB

Wine and cheese...very good. Wine tasting last summer; bought a bottle of wine that went really well with this mango cheese. DEEEEElicious!

I still like the old cobb loaf, middle scooped out and oven toasted for dipping and the loaf filled with that great fattening thick hot bubbly cheese fondue like mix with pieces of crispy bacon through it. I also love cheesecake, a guy at work makes little jelly cheesecake squares, they are really good

    Bob/PKB

I have never heard of a "cobb loaf". Can you explain how it is made with more detail, lambshank? It sounds like something that would be well-received by my family.
    lambshank

Bob/PKB a cobb loaf is just a shape, it's bread with a really crusty outside shaped like a soccer ball, we cut a "lid"off and scoop the bread out (bake them for dipping)then fill the cavity with the cheese and bacon mix, really very nice

I said cheese and had a big smile!!!

    Bob/PKB

Cheese brings out a smile in everyone...kind of like how milk does a body good???? :D (cheese)

choosy cheese people choosers choose only the choicest chosen cheeses when choosing any cheese because if they didn't choose the choicest chosen cheeses then they wouldn't be choosey cheese people choosers........would they?

    doolittle

Wonderful repeat 10x fast then prove to us you are not drunk by saying it backwards (UT no looking..You're peeking) could you incorporate cheddar into this statement??
    Bob/PKB

The deep thought you have put into your answer is obvious. You are a cheese gourmet of the highest caliber, no doubt about it!
Choose and chomp a chopped, chilled, chewy cheddar cheese, chump! Oh please, don't get me started on stuff like alliteration.

Everything. This is like answering whom your favorite child is!

    Bob/PKB

I wish there could be two BEST ANSWERS, witchway. :D Thank you for a superior answer!

When I saw the word CHEESE I thought we where taking a picture..................

    Bob/PKB

SMILE, you are on Candid Camera!!
    Mr.Den

Did I SMILE BIG ENOUGHT ?

I love all cheese.Sadly cheese doesn't love me & people don't want to be around me after I have eaten cheese. Funny that.LOL

    Bob/PKB

So, every cheese is a smelly cheese as far as you're concerned? :D
    Tommyh

    Pretty much.LOL

Rockfort cheese its like ble cheese but suttle taste

    jhharlan

    And don't forget Gorgonzola....
    melandrupert

jhharlan one of my favorites too x
    Bob/PKB

Those three cheese are so versatile. My latest craze is to include them in a green salad with walnuts, dried cranberries or raisins, fresh pomegranate seeds (if I can find them, ever-so-thinly sliced red onion, and a balsamic vinegar dressing that has a hint of orange. MMMMM GOOD.
    melandrupert

Bob/PKB that sounds fab I jst love balsamis vinigar with most things and its great with fish xxx

Boarshead Havarriti cream cheese sliced from the deli at Publix.

    Bob/PKB

Could you be more specific, please? Love your answer, Darci13. Thank you
    Darci13

Boarshead is the namebrand only store around here I have found that carries the Boarshead brand. And the name of the cheese (the kind) is Havarriti Cream Cheese it is not the cream cheese like you think of as in making cheese cake, it is actually a cheeese that they slice in the deli it is really good on sandwiches, but do not try to melt it or make cheese toast out of it it tastes horrible melted do not know why I have tried the Wal-Mart deli they carry some kind of brand of it but it is not as good as the Boars Head brand. Hope that helps?

I was 18, drunk and stoned before, I ever ate pizza, because CHEESE is one of the world's WORST/NASIEST products discovered.  My family, (other than me) will eat probably any type available, but being, I don't drink anymore, I'll pass on all types!!

    Bob/PKB

You are one of the few, no doubt. I had neighbors once who disliked tomatoes so seriously they would order their pizza without sauce. If you liked the rest of the pizza, you could certainly get it without cheese. (Just the thought of a stuffed crust must make you gag). :D

Cheshire,Lancashire,Wensleydale. But also Red Leicester and Double Gloucestor.Too late for me to be thinking these things tonight

    Bob/PKB

Not one of these cheeses is in my grocer's cheese department. It will be necessary to find a REAL delicatessen or book a flight. The Cheshire piques my interest most, but sampling all would be fun. With wine, of course. And friends.

OK, my obsessed cheese maniac! How many of these parings have you tried? What's the best combos....I'll prepare a party! Yes I will!
    valR

More than half of the red wine ones and a few of the white wine.

    I hate cheese.

    Bob/PKB

What about the cheddar flavored potato chips?
    ed shank

Those I enjoy. Plain cheese out of a wrapper, can't do it. The smell always reminds me of something dead.

    Coleen,

Could you please remove my inadvertently duplicated :(  :(  :(  answer on cheese wine pairing?

I love cheese of all kinds  but too me just a plain ol swiss grilled cheese with a slice of  cold packed kosher pickle and a few olives on the side  is pretty close to  ectasy. dont you think?

    Bob/PKB

Not a HUGE fan of Swiss, but swap out the cheese (maybe a spicy jack?) and I'm all there. Love a cold, crunchy dill, and any kind of olive. Yes, sounds good to me!

my little dog loves cheese. When I say the word cheese, she raises her ears and jumps up and down.

    Bob/PKB

My big dog does the same. Cute, aren't they? Have a happy day, fjoel.
