    10 ft. x 12 ft. x 3 in. = how many cubic yards?

    1. Convert 3 in. into feet. > (12 in. = 12 ft.) So, 3/12 = 0.25 ft.

    2. Multiply the ft. > 10 ft. x 12 ft. x 0.25 ft. = 30 cubic ft.

    3. Convert cubic ft. into cubic yards.  > (1 cubic yard = 27 cubic ft.)

    So, 30/27 = 1.1 cubic yards.
