Try some friendly time with your dog a good scratching massage and a nice quit vacuum with a wide head to collect some of the shed . Make it a game and they will love it .

Well then thats the end of that idea . How about a good brushing after the end of his walk away from the house. No matter what Good luck and enjoy your 4 legged friend . Good luck enjoy your friend.

dogs, cats, all furred animals that shed- shed both in the fall/early winter and in the spring/ summer.

they shed in the fall to "get rid" of their summer coats so they can grow a dencer winter coat.  The reverse happens in the spring. My dog hated to be brushed. Hated it! I ended up at a cheap groomer a few times (I hope she is flying around heaven & has forgiven me for such "torture)

If your dog sometimes stays in the house and other times outdoors in the cold- This will cause him to shed

    Are you sure?

why do dogs shed their coats?
