Count the number of scores. Add up the scores themselves. Divide the score total by the number of scores added.
If you had grades from ten assignments, you would add the ten scores and divide by 10.
If tests account for 50% of your grade, homework for 25%, and quizzes for 25%, you would:
add the scores from tests and divide by the number of tests taken. (let's say this = 87)
add the scores from quizzes and divide by the number of quizzes taken ( say this = 90%)add the scores from HW and divide by the number of HW assignments ( let's give you 82%)
The equation would be: {( 2(87) + 90 + 82} /4 = %
(174 + 172)/4 = %
346/4 = 91.5%
