      -2b - (4 - 6b)     You cannot subtract 6b because you do not know the value of b.  
      -2b - 4 - (-6b)
      -2b - 4 + 6b 
      4b - 4

        -2b-(4-6b)= -2b-4+6b=-2b+6b-4=4b-4==> 4b=4 ==>  b=4/4=1
