What could cause a small engine to lock down?

I have an Echo leaf blower that I have used for years.  About a week ago I could not start it.  I changed the spark plug, replace the air filter, cleaned the spark arrester, sprayed carbuerated  with cleaner and cleaned the gas lines. During the process(s)  it never did start and became impossible to pull the starter rope.

Sounds like all the right things to me . Lots of small what the hell does this do parts in there .so disassembly is not recommended. If the pull mech.has a malfunction it will lock up ,so the best course of action is to separate the pull mech from the motor ,if the motor is free that's the problem .  If not then the motor is the problem and its time for a new one .You sure you put the correct plug in ? Longer plugs will stick to far into the cyclinder and lock up the piston Hope I helped .
