      Oh my goodness... that is so cool!  Salmon are  wonderful.  We have fish ladders for Salmon here.

        fish girl, please excuse my ignorance, but whats a fish ladder, I used to get them in my stockings but I don't think you mean that

        They are built in streams for the salmon to go back to their birth place to breed. Salmon swim up stream and sometimes streams change so the ladders are there... flat plateau type things with dips where water runs over... the fish jump from one to another and if they get tired they can rest in the dip in the ladder. I hope I explained this well.
        It is great to watch the salmon as they do this... quite a day actually.

           Fishing eggie my Husband would be over there like a shot he does a lot of fly fishing and Salmon Wow if you were in Scotland they charge up to $800.00 per day on some fishing lodges where thet salmon are

            Whereabouts are you in the UK? We have relatives in Twickenham, Reading and some other places + Yorkshire, where my mother's three sisters live.
