Just pretend it's a desktop.

Check your power supply(the charger ) and the cord on both ends . Maybe you can return it to the re builder and have some recourse. Sucks when you trust some one and it dont work out.  Good luck with a solution

Why won't my battery charge?

Make sure the power cord into the computer is seated properly. Often when you are unfamiliar with a piece of equipment, little but important things get overlooked.  Had the same problem with a brand new HP laptop, and it was just a simple matter of not gettting the re-charging cord seated deep enough to fully make contact..
