The times they are a changing, honestly i don;t know, but logic tells me it's just the need maybe is not there., with heated cars,buses,homes the hat is now more of novelity rather than a tool against nature...

When you start to lose your hair on top you go back to hats.There is nothing worse than a sun-burnt scalp.You will seldom see me out without a ball cap.With our climate it takes a couple of minutes to get a sun-burn.

Lots here wear hats, men and women, but I was thinking we don't see people smoking pipes much these days
