I am so sorry to hear that your sister was given that prognosis. I don't believe doctors should put a time limit on how long or short one is to live. Patients could and would live longer if left to their own wil in the matter. That's what I believe, anyway. I think thre have been studies regarding this. I don't know if I would buy things necessarily, but I would organize and start distributing my things so that the task would not be left to others when I'm gone.

I'd get a second, third and fourth opinion. Then I would expect to out live their diagnosis by a number of years as that often happens. I don't think I'd do much differently except to maybe eat healthier since the foods we eat are what's making us sick for the most part. Most of it is imported.

I'm sure that I would try to get things extremely organized so that it is not such a big chore for the person who has to step in and settle everything. I don't know why I don't do that NOW! I guess because we never believe that "the day" could come tomorrow.
So sorry about your sister, Tabber. :(

I`d make sure my paperwork is up to date eg. my bank accounts, investment accounts, bill payments, Will, instructions not covered in the Will - that is different from routine.
I`d meet my friends and family more often wherever that be.
I`d continue to be generous in every way and please people.
