Peplelovers Adventure Minus (@(&^%$ photos) Part 3.

Time in Swirtzerland came to and end and I found myself on the train for the 2 hr trip back to Geneva to catch a plane back to London.

Again the trip through the countryside was great.

On arrival at Geneva as I went to get off the train there were three steps from the carriage to the platform, always the one who pays attention to detail I only took two and fell arse over head on the platform. Narrelle came to my rescue and I stood up feeling like a right dork.

No real harm as far as I know except to my Pride.

STOP LAUGHING IT IS NOT FUNNY.

On arrival in London I had to line up like cattle going through a dip whilst Narrelle waltzed straight through customs as a resident.

All was not lost as after some 20 minutes in a snail pace line a customs officer came up to me and asked "Are you Mr++++" I said I was and he lifted the tape barrier and asked me to "Come with me please" So another terroist/drug smuggler was led away. Well that is probably what the crowd thought.

I was escorted straight through customs as Narrelle had done the Aussie thing again and asked if her old delapidated father who had fallen off a train could come through more quickly What a girl.

Back in London we again went to several local touristy places including the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.

The Yanks are the worlds leaders in "Razzle Dazzle" but no one can hold a candle to the British for "Pomp and Ceremony" Precision at its` best and fantastic to watch, there were hundreds of people to watch but we were early and were right at the front.

We hired a car for a few days and took off for Sussex and Wessex and Narrelle had booked us into 5 star accommodatin in old former family homes dating back to the 12th century. Have to be seen to be believed these stately homes with acres of gardens. One had the lift lined with false spines of books so you felt you were standing in a library of old books.

We went to a working coach farm where they rent out old horse drawn coaches for weddings and the like. A former weaving mill built by Arkwright of spinning jenny fame oh too much to tell.but trust me we saw heaps and had a ball.Aeroplane museum, etc etc.

Well that is it for this time but in the next exciting episode I meet Melandrupert of aka QA fame so to be sure this is one chapter you should read.

This is great fun Peoplelover!  Thanks... I can hardly wait for the next chapter.

When will this book be published,i can't wait  to get a copy.

What??? Pissed again no doubt!!  being an antique is no excuse for falling off a train & embarrassing all of us. Oh well, maybe they thought you were an Irish football fan & never realized you were an Aussie. Can't wait for episode #4.I s'pose that's when you get thrown out of a pub for mooning a picture of the queen or something.
