like the idea of the fence,we are paranoid about the gates,one on the front and 2 down the side of the house.When he was younger he cleared the fence(6ft)and got into my neighbours,that was 2 years back though and touch wood hes not done it since

deadly serious!!!!We live on a main road and my last dog was killed when she ran into it.Shed not got off the garden though,me and my son had walked so far up the road before parting company,he was taking her for a run ,i was going a bit further along ,hed got her quarter of a mile and onto the field and let her off the lead as usual.Minutes later i heard him scream then a bang.I still dont remember running back up the road but my son was with her and she was dying at the side of the road,i was absolutely devastated,thought the world of her and,typical shepherd,a one man dog and she was all my dog  .But never in a million years did i dream she bolt back to come to me like that.I blame myself
