I watched Brokeback Mountain last night.

Have you seen it, and what did you think of it?

I know it opened a lot of eyes of my coworkers.  I enjoyed the movie.  The acting was superb...

I'm old school. I see a western, I think of John Wayne at full gallop on his horse rolling a cigarette with one hand and shooting at Indians with the other. I have no desire to watch two cowboys going at it.

hmmn ... you are old school. Killing Indians? That went out of style sometime in the 1800s! (Hope you don't mind my ribbing!)

It's all good with me. I think the movie was well done and made a very clear point. I like John Wayne movies as well.

Guess by now you figured out that I'm just an old dude with old ways. I can take the ribbing.

I thought the film was brilliant and very heart warming and you could see that they really did love each other the acting was suberb brilliant film

I thought it was an excellent. I cried hard at the end of the movie. Went through half a box of Kleenex.

Does it make you think things.

It opened my eyes. I wasn’t naive ... or was I?

Two members of my family are gay. One male and one female. So I am desensitized to same sex relationships. But is does seem that gay sex between women is more acceptable in our culture and even titilating for men! So I think this movie was great because it showed an honest and loving relationship between men that goes way beyond the sexual aspect of their relationship, and more inportantly how they were unable to live a fulfilling and happy life together because of cultural prejudice and hatred.

I saw it for the first time. I shut it off when I hit MENU and it described the context of the movie. I don't doubt that the nights got lonely, but banging a sheep made more sense to me than slamming your co-worker in the butt.

Thanks for your honesty, ed shank, but if you ever decide to watch it, you could just close your eyes during the scary parts ...

    Next time perhaps.

OKAY - that's one vote for sodomy with animals and one vote against a love relationship with another human being ... anybody else care to comment?

Relationships such as this no doubt were common, given the environment they were forced to endure. I think we all figured that out a long time ago. Some things are better left to the imagination.

This movie was set in modern times.

    no comment..????
