good on you dunc as Colleen said good karma you will be repaid in one way or other in time my friend find a wallet it had wait for it 5,000.00 pouds in it she returned it and the guy didnt even give her the petrol money anyway i told she would get paid in other ways and her father has been really ill and I said dont worry you did that good deed and your dad will be fine and he is so its not always monatry its others way that comes back well done

Turn it over to the store management.  They have protocol for these things.  At least we did. 

Or...phone the person that the wallet belongs to.

hand it over to the police they give you slip to confirm or if theres a phone number or bank address go to the bank they will contact the person.

I had my wallet stolen containing credit cards, and cash on the Paris Metro last weekend. Guess what, no-one has returned it.
