It is the most horrific vomiting experience you will ever have and when you are not vomiting you have to be sitting on the toilet.

My husband is explaining to me as I am typing...the second experience was actually worse than the first ... that one took 14 days to clear out of his system...

The first was in Nairobi and the second in Egypt...

I hope you or someone in your family doesn't have this.

I think they are almost exact, but stomach flu would include cold and flu symptoms such as fever, congestion, etc... While food poisoning mostly includes diarrhea and vomiting. Not that Food Poisoning can't include  cold sweats and fever, it's just with the stomach flu,  usually you get the fever first. This is just my opinion from experience I'm not a doctor, but I have pretended to be one in t.v. commercials and on aka q&a, lol.

If you think it isfood poisoning i would see a doctor asap, if it is salmonella poisoning you would certainly know, you will be in hospitable by now. With contaminated food you will be spending a lot of time in the loo, with a very sore bottom.

Hi Jenn i am a bit late in answering this but if you a projectile vomiting then see your doc asap drink lots of water if you can keep it down as you dont want to get dehydrated thats worse than what you got to settle your stomack drink coke cola not the diet one the real thing! or soda water the gas in the drink helpd the stomack if kids get it make them drink this as well here in the UK there is a really bad bug with the symtoms you have described you might have that its 48 hour one hope you get better soon xxx
