    i saw a movie once in mid to late 70's hope to know the title

    it was a black and white movie about a young lady how was a teacher who moved to a small town in some early american hic town...the children there were also strange. when they walked they dragged their feet and the thing about the movie was is that when they played on their little flutes they could fly...hope someone can help
