I have been a Bank of America customer for many years now. Why is Bank of America going to charge me $5.00 a month for me to use my ATM Card?

I am contemplating changing banks if Bank of America persists next year on charging me for using my ATM card!

No need to change banks, they will all be doing the same thing, chain reaction...

They will be charging everyone, not just you.

I deal with two different banks and they both charge monthly fees and have been for as long as I can remember...My fees will increase with one bank if I use my card more than 4 times per month and I am restricted to a certain amount of transactions otherwise...I can pay more if I would like more services.  I have been with this bank for 30 years...It just keeps getting more expensive...kind of like taxes.  Picasso kept his money under his bed...maybe we should too!

Only for debit cards for purchases, not for ATM.  No charge for premium customers.

There are lots of things that are better than money. Banks are into making money with your money and treat you like you owe them for what they do. If I’m charged too much for using an ATM card, I’ll go back to cash on purchases. If we treat banks like a convenience rather than a necessity and leave them over rate increases, they will respond by back-peddeling. I would like to see that.
