It says to me one journey is over and a new one has begun that will be more restful than the one left behind. Physical labor not required.

This picture tells me,that the time has come to step out of those old boots.Because it is time to walk a new path that God has chosen for your dad.When your dad reaches his new destination i'm sure he will be greeted with a comfy pair of slippers and told to "make himself feel at home".

This picture tells me that you miss him.  I lost my sister 2 years ago...I hope you leave those boots as your avatar for a while.  It will remeind me that you and I are not alone.
