Connect your TomTom device to your computer with a USB cord. Turn on the TomTom and select "Yes" when asked if you'd like to connect to the computer.

Open the TomTom Home software if it is already installed on your computer or download it for free from TomTom's website. Click the "Services" tab, then click "TomTom HOME" in the sidebar. Click "Download."

Click "Update My Device" on the TomTom software. This will bring up a screen that lists all available updates for your TomTom. You can read the descriptions of these updates to decide whether you would like to install them. Select all of the updates you want to install, then click "Update and Install."

Wait for the updates to install completely, then disconnect the TomTom from your computer.
