Not all mattress have new springs . Old ones are stripped of the cotton stuffing left to the weather  then cleaned  and their lives start over as a new mattress  with new outsides . Bed bugs just hitch a ride in this process. Where they come from is not known to me . Current thinking says they are immune to pesticides at levels 1000, times greater than years back .So in the last 5 years their ability to resist poison has grown by 1000 times . Pretty tough critters .

HI BED BUGS ARE THOUGHT TO COME FROM ASIA OR AFRICA THEY ARE TINY INSECTS WHICH CAN TRAVEL BY HITCHING A RIDE ON ANY ONE OR ANY THING.

IF YOU HAVE TRAVELLED AND STOPPED IN A HOTEL  YOU HAVE  PROBABLY PICK THEM UP IN YOUR LUGGAGE OR PERSON.

THEY ARE PROBABLY IN YOU PROPERTY NOW AND HAVE NOT COME IN ON YOUR NEW BED
