If you want a publishing company to publish a book for you... you have to basically apply in book terms. Obtain a list of book publishing companies and their requirements...also what type of books they publish so you don't waste time and money and then start mailing.
In Canada the information is easy to find as I am sure it is in other countries. Google and you will find what you are looking for...also a lot of colleges offer one or two day courses on how to go about getting published.
