Two ways to get online . First you either have a wifi connection  meaning wireless or you are hard wired pluged into the wall .looks like your phone connection .News flash !!!!! If you posted a question here you were on line to do it !!!!!!!  When useing wifi your computer will tell you when you are connected .Some wifi connections are locked  you must choose a unlocked one from the options . Some are password protected .

I am loseing my mind here ; This is what I did for you in Google type "Facebook chat how to      Thats it takes you to face book help page follow directions and you will be fine . Looks easy enough  even for me .  Good luck . Sorry we took the long way around .  Now I am done with this question I earned my nothing pay here .
