Was wondering why a thread can say [closed] but still be active at the same time?

Why can people still post in closed threads? What's the point in closing them?

I've asked the same myself. I hope the new forum has a fix for it.

    Update:

Fixed. We got a new forum :)

You can no longer post to closed threads. Apparently some of the members are trying to call up past members because they miss them. I see these long gone or suspended member's questions are getting brought up so I'm assuming they are missed. I have unsuspended Roger Wilcoe and Umbriel so far. I never suspended you FoG so I guess you can just come on back. :)

We can't post in a closed thread.

Now, when a thread is closed ... it is very closed.  Kaput closed..... Nada on the answer-roos.

This question is two years old, and the answer to it is still unanswered.

This question is from the original forum. The one before this one. It got transferred over with all the other questions. So, the answers given today are the answer. Closed threads can no longer be answered to.
