Straining-- Need some fiber in your diet too.  hemorrhoids are simply blood vessels that have broken to the surface, like varicose veins.  Take a 'stiz' bath, get on some 'metamucil'  get some preperation H.  (not the generic stuff either) and stop straining so hard on the pot! Relax and let nature do its job.. If they are bleeding, whatever you do, stay off spicy hot foods, you'll find yourself climbing walls.. LOL

Inadequate intake of fiber, prolonged sitting on the toilet, constipation are likely the casues.  Pregnancy is a clear cause of enlarged hemorrhoids.  Also tumor in the pelvis can cause enlargement of hemorrhoids.

Poor diet and sitting on the Kibo ( toilet ) to long.
