      I'd say drunks tell you what is in their minds because they are too drunk to contol anything they say.

          in AA we were taught that drunk people use their drunken state to say things they normally wouldnt say when sober, but wanted to say. that way being drunk was their excuse for saying things.

                  that's so true about kids. And I find that when someone dies, and you are greiving, the kids say the right thing, that helps, and adults don't say anything.
