Have an underground storm shelter installed in your back yard, preferably that can be accessed from inside your house…the bigger and deeper the better.

Also, If you are likely to flood also get a boat and if you have a tornado during a flood you will need scuba gear to get to your tornado shelter. My mom would get into the bathtub, fully clothed to prey and read the bible during tornado warnings…worked ok for her…so get a bathtub in the storm shelter and boat to be on the safe side along with a bible and flashlight. And please stop screaming when lightening strikes nearby, I’m trying to sleep.
