      This isn't as easy as it looks.


      If your mother left the car to you in her will you would only need to take the old title and the will along with 6 forms of identification to the Division of Motor Vehicles in your state.


      If your mother didn't leave a will or specify that you get it you may have some tax issues to deal with before you can take ownership of the car.
