Try this https://adblockplus.org/en/chrome
And do this: On your browser click Tools > Options > Content tab > check mark "Block pop up windows"

I get pop ups despite having blocked them. How they sneak in I dont know. At the bottom right of one of them I saw who it was from so I phoned and expressed my anger. The guy said I should uninstall the software. Told him I never installed it. He said install and uninstall. Have not done it yet.
