    It used to be P.E.   That means Professional Engineer. Those are people who get an engineering degree.....and usually a masters in engineering.   Then there are people who work in the office at Fords who are called engineers, but they aren't really. They just have a degree in Physics or something like that.

    Depends what you mean. "eng" to shorten engineering, but licensed engineers can write P.Eng after their name, too.
