Seems to me you need to understand :: Key stroke bots , back door Trojans, clones , a whole host of nasty things that can be sent to in a email . Or they can be uploaded to your computer when you click on a site link sent to you in a email . Then there is peer to peer  lime wires claim to fame . These things give others access to your computer when you are off line allowing them to send huge amounts of Spam from your computer .Scared yet ?????  They can use your mailing contacts for incoming and outgoing mischief. This is what they are calling suspicious activity large volumes of mail being sent from your IP . Every time you sign up for something you become vulnerable.Try Google search for    100 best web sites    Look for security  You can find help here .
